Diana's Thoughts
What do you see as your role?
I constantly feel attracted towards evolution and growth whether in fashion, business, thinking or simply by a seed evolving into a plant.
It is about nurturing and helping a team to make meaningful items, it is not about the representation and imposition of an ego onto makers or consumers.
We want to make clothes that complement the personality of the wearer, genuine clothes in beautiful fabrics, clothes that can be cherished and lived with.
What was your most satisfying moment as designer?
Small things really, like being told by the owner of a beautiful store he had a 100% sell through pre sales, or a chance encounter with a customer telling me about a piece bought years ago, and worn religiously as talisman ever since.
How do you get inspiration for your label?
Inspiration comes from the means and roots and processes of the product; craftsmanship , objects weather symbolic or cultural, materials.
We want to formulate a contemporary language of "transparence" that informs about the story of the products, their origin, their makers, users and turning it into their "raison d'etre" and soul.
What do you hope to achieve with the label?
I want a laboratory line, A secret chamber of creativity crafting limited series of products elaborated from remnants of fabrics and discovered one off elements, unique combinations and overlaps that cannot be mass produced.
