At the young age of 20 Swiss businessman Thomas Meyer envisioned a future in which people dressed differently, in clothes that made them feel good and that were affordable for all budgets. This dream gave shape to Desigual, which opened its doors in 1984.

Ever since the brand’s vibrant, passionate and colourful Mediterranean philosophy has inspired our products and work culture and has developed into the company’s rallying cry: La Vida es Chula!

We opened offices in New York’s Midtown in 2009 and took steps towards our goal of expanding into new markets in Asia by opening offices in Hong Kong and Tokio in 2012. In June 2013 we officially inaugurated our new beachfront headquarters in Barcelona, a 24,000 m2 building.

Made with Love means scouring the jungle for flowers to print on a dress; it means to try, try and try again until finding that perfect pattern that enhances a woman’s hips; it means stamping “Made in Spain” on every single one of our shoes...
Made with Love means taking care every detail and each of the manufacturing processes used to make our garments, relying on the latest technologies and the best suppliers in India, China and Europe.

Excellence in logistics

We’re capable of delivering up to 120,000 garments in a day and managing up to 3,000,000 in our automated warehouse at Gavá that can process 5,000 orders simultaneously.

We can deliver our products within 24 hours. Everything we need to be always close to ensure that customers receive their orders as quickly as possible.

We have extended our logistics network with two new distribution centres in USA (New Jersey) and Asia (Hong Kong) to provide even better service to the North American and Asian markets. We are building a new distribution centre in Barcelona (Vildadecans), which in its first phase will enable us to increase our logistics capacity to 55 million garments.

The ICIL Foundation presented with its 2009 award for Excellence in Logistics. In 2010, the Spanish Logistics Centre (CEL) recognised our progress and innovation in logistics with its CEL Company, CEL University and CEL Manager awards. We were awarded second prize in the CEL Company category for the successful implementation of our automation project at our Gavà logistics plant.




With the Mediterranean as its backdrop and an energy that attracts different cultures and encourages new trends and creative concepts to flourish, Desigual is revisiting Barcelona to renew its vision by looking back on its origins.

Combining classic and modern elements Desigual’s SS2016 Collection comes full of change. The brand is updating the shape and feel of its offerings with new fabrics and finishes.

In the new 2016 collection, the sixties and seventies aesthetic features heavily and brings with it fun pinafore dresses and suggestive folk-style ponchos. Sophisticated details like broach buttons or jeweled collars add a delicate touch of glamour to coats and dresses without sacrificing the relaxed styling that typifies Desigual.

Quality viscose, jacquard knits in different weaves and neoprene bring items to life. This season we also welcome the new combination of knits and wool. Blonde lace is another new arrival to the collection that has been carefully applied to dresses of different lengths.

Sheer panels and layering are juxtaposed as key trends for summer 2016 at Desigual. Items are finished off with pleated details along the back and mesh appliqués in designs.
