Betty Barclay Spring/Summer 2016
The signature of the current Spring/Summer 2016 Collection from Betty Barclay is feminine, modern yet understandable, with great attention to detail. The new styles not only bubble over with modernity, but are also relaxed and light too. In the Spring/Summer 2016 Collection, Betty Barclay plays with a range of lengths and sets new priorities when it comes to proportions.
This season, skirts, trousers and dresses are wider – blouses turn into long, casual shirts that look great worn with boxy pullovers. In contrast to the long shirts, shortened tops take on a new significance because of the new, wider trousers. The classic blazer is reinterpreted – the indoor coat is relaxed as a long jacket, and can be combined to create a sporty or a feminine look. The interplay of different fabrics and styles – crêpe and silk – flowing, printed or plain – gives trousers in particular a new character. The feminine princess dress replaces the slim sheath dress.
Sophisticated wraparound looks and handkerchief hems show off special prints and patterns. Skirts are wide and swinging, creating movement and stunning silhouettes. Ponchos and capes continue to be stylish companions and absolute fashion favourites. Two-tone or plain, with or without fringes – they give every outfit that "certain something".
In this season's colour world, striking mandarin to coral shades play an important role alongside delicate naturals such as light blues and mints. Classics such as navy, red and white are still an essential part of the Betty Barclay Spring/Summer 2016 Collection. By integrating elements into the Coordinates Collection, Betty Barclay is able to offer both dressy, feminine looks and relaxed, sporty styles, linked with separates – a combination that creates a new and exciting look.
