FRANK WRIGHT

Starting business from a small workshop in Kettering, Northamptonshire in 1885, Mr Wright originally made peg sole boots for the British Armed Forces. Over a number of years the brand moved into offering more fashionable products, firstly supplying the cavalry officers at Chelsea barracks and then later creating a buzz in the 1960s, becoming a major part of the ‘Carnaby Street’ scene in London. Frank Wright was an iconic brand of the decade, well known for its classic loafers and ‘Beetle’ boots, cementing its place in history as a style leader.
