Halston’s traditional American style combines with New York’s
Downtown attitude for the Fall 2009 collection. Building on the classic Halston aesthetic and drawing inspiration from ‘80s iconic female rock stars such as Debbie Harry, an edgy elegance is embodied in a collection where new wave meets luxury.

The purity of Halston’s easy chic style resonates throughout the collection. Scarf wraps create seductive curves around the body whilst cutout details add sensuous touches to formal dresses. Jumpsuits are updated with feminine wrap closures and delicate studding. The silk chiffon Marquee gown floats in graceful simplicity and the black and white Storm print dress provides an additional visual dimension.

Streamlined silhouettes are given a fresh and modern perspective through deep tonal shades and textures of leather and nubuck. Python and sleek paillettes inspirit the culture of Halston. Pop colors of citron, cobalt and fuchsia add a reassured attitude from daywear to eveningwear with heavy ply cashmere to rich jersey gowns.

Texture and color make bold statements in the Fall 2009 accessories collections. Boots are toughened with stud detail and softened with leather ruching – the City boot towers in python and suede. Harder attitudes emerge through heavy zips, elements of raw edge and metallic python. Sexy high heel silhouettes with thicker straps provide cover up in cheetah print and leather. Ready to Wear structures are reflected through key bags – louche shapes in shoppers and iridescent python pouches. Anthracite metal hardwear on straps and fastenings complete the harder tactility. The Allen satchel contrasts suede and leather, alongside studding and snap Halston hardwear. The fur clutches in Springbok feature an exceptional and natural mohawk attribute for a truly unique reflection of the new wave.
