Linda Farrow presents their new line of sunglasses under the debuting line Linda Farrow Projects.
Linda Farrow Projects is a new line launching for SS09 in collaboration with Giles Deacon, Bernhard Willhelm, House of Holland, Danielle Scutt, Jens Laugesen, Preen, David David, Charles Anastase, Damir Doma, Todd Lynn, Jeremy Scott, Peter Pilotto, and Tim Hamilton. Each designer creates one sunglass creating their own artistic style through sunglasses, overall complementing the complete silhouette for their brand. The concept of Linda Farrow Projects brings together creativity working with the most exciting designers to date offering a diverse selection under one brand - Linda Farrow Projects.
Established in 1970, the Linda Farrow brand of luxury eyewear rose quickly to acclaim amongst stylish Londoners and the international jet set. Originally a fashion designer herself, Linda Farrow was one of the first to treat sunglasses as fashion, producing collection after cutting-edge collection, her finger always on the pulse of the times. A tireless experimenter, Farrow pioneered many of the shapes and styles that remain au courant today. Exploring the use of screws on frames, for example, Farrow developed the avant-garde wraparounds that became Yoko Ono’s trademark style in the 70s. Farrow’s relentless pursuit of luxury, innovation and cutting-edge design continue to mark the brand almost forty years on.
Renowned for its collaborations with many of the world’s most acclaimed designers (Yohji Yamamoto, Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, Matthew Williamson, Bernhard Willhelm and Jeremy Scott among them), its unprecedented range of vintage sunglasses (over 2000 original designs from the 70s and 80s), and its uncompromisingly luxurious Fine Jewellery and Luxe lines, Linda Farrow has established itself as one of the most exciting brands in fashion today.
