NOIR’s 8th Ready-to-Wear collection goes Parisian chic, delving deeper into the brand’s DNA - the dichotomy of femininity. Think Catherine Deneuve’s arrogance with elegance. Her cool composure, aristocratic air and aloof allure in the film “The Hunger”. Well-bred with an undercurrent of something wicked. A nocturnal yearning that transcends time between master and servant, upstairs downstairs. What happens behind closed doors and whispers on the windowsill. It’s perfection smudged. Polished skin and the craving within. Bienvenue a l’heure des nuits blanches.

Dangerous is delicious in this collection of contrast and contradiction, seen in a mix of male and female, matt and shiny, slim yet voluminous and extravagant versus understated. There’s a full moon in the velvety black sky, the perfect backdrop for NOIR’s exquisite eveningwear designed for a late night encounter. Silhouettes are sculpted, ebony partners with gold and leather is luscious in an array of contemporary new designs. Enjoy a tuxedo tunic and a gathered gown with sequined sleeves. Drapes continue on trousers and a hybrid skirt with shorts underneath. Add a bulbous bottom gold jacket as the hors d'oeuvres before you’re seduced into taking everything off.

For Autumn / Winter 09, don’t miss NOIR’s mastery of new innovations in leather. Like the leather top glistening in gold, a high-waisted long skirt with two zips, leather and suede sleeves, gloves, belts, gathered leather collars and signature leather leggings. Fur brings a tactile tenderness in fox and mink along with lamb, shearling and calf. The fox and mink are provided by Saga Furs, reflecting the utmost in high quality and craftsmanship. All skins are sourced from the EU and thus bred under the highest rules and regulations possible.

Blurring the gender boundaries again is this season’s daywear. A long and lean men’s look modernised in sleek slacks and exceptionally tailored jackets juxtaposed against curvy jerseys, chunky knits and free- flowing feminine shapes. Blouses are billowy in lurex glitter, with ravishing ruffles, gathered accents and ribbon ties to untie. Fancy a visit to the fresh-fleshed, young butler’s quarters? For early morning-after attire, NOIR’s loisir line offers a fine knit twin set in suiting style. Or let yourself get lost in over-sized knits with massive collars worn with riding pants. New this season is the launch of spandex leggings with surfing suit stitching gone fashion. Looks can be deceiving in an outdoor nylon jacket where earth tones come together in a singular subdued hue. The colour palate continues with pastel blue, off white, seedpearl, black and dusky emerald, muddy greys, dark charcoal and light greys, deep cruise navy and noir. Where midnight chronotypes add mystery to your mischief.
