Spring/Summer 2012: Adventures of Africa
The Roeckl brand stands for authenticity, living craft tradition and a love of detail – driven by the passion to create favourite garments which are characterised by a perfect fit, a consummate finish, valuable materials and a sophisticated, timeless design. In order to further consolidate our international market position, we have set our sights on strengthening the positioning of the brand.
The snow-covered peaks of the Atlas mountains, the fertile plains of the Medesa, semi-desert-like steppes, the sand dunes of the Sahara and the lush oases of the Sous basin – all of this is reflected in the new Roeckl collection. Both the city of Tanger, the gateway to Africa, and the bazaars of Marrakech served as a source of inspiration and an inexhaustible pool of shapes and colors.
Inspired by the beauty of the landscapes and towns of North Africa, Roeckl’s 2012 spring/summer collection features elaborate oriental patterns and intense colours. Summer canvas and canvas mixtures, light chiffon and georgette qualities flatter the sun-kissed skin with radiant Lagoon, powerful Indigo and intense Tangerine as well as gentle earthen and pastel colours. Soft leather is elaborately woven and knotted, while delicate perforations and oriental stylistic elements decorate the gloves, bags and small leather accessories of the new collection.
Excited
Fresh, powerful colours and sporty intensity provide the main focus for this collection theme. Lagoon, Tangerine and Hot Pink, both monochrome and mixed, stand for pure joie de vivre and a leisure feel.
Balanced
Delicate cream, powder and pastel tones provide a reinterpretation of the nude look this summer – richly contrasted with steam and transparent black. Finely loom woven materials and light, airy perforations pointedly reflect the meticulous attention to detail, making this look a real summer highlight.
Essential
Inspired by canvas, sidal, straw and dried leaf green, the focus is on gentle colours and degradés here. Khaki, light canvas tones, Camel Beige and washed-out denim tones are accentuated in combination with rich Coffee, Mocha Brown and Indigo.
