Carolina Neri and Bérengère Lux, long-time friends even before becoming business partners, driven by their willingness to create timeless and upscale bijoux, founded Ca&Lou in 2010 as a challenge and a bet.
A concept immediately translated into the clean-shaped pieces, crafted in one of the best Milanese jeweler’s workshop. Thus begins a path which develops along the creations and which seduces the buyers’ and fashion editors’ eyes. While Ca&Lou is welcomed in internationally renowned department stores such as Colette, Saks and Matches, the press world celebrates the collection on the pages of T Magazine, Vogue Paris and International Herald-Tribune.
Craftsmanship remains the brand’s strong point: Carolina and Bérengère entrust their sketches and intuitions to a skilled workshop, which proceeds to create each piece by hand and turn it into luxury bijoux at an accessible price.
Ca&Lou draws its inspiration from the Art Deco world, from the 20’s and 30’s costume jewelry, distinguished by vibrant-colored, pure, geometric lines. These clean lines perfectly blend with a subtle and pared-down beauty, where treatments turn stones matt and apply antique finish to metals, in a sophisticated interplay between retro and modern.
