COMPANY PROFILE
Say the name, Ilse Jacobsen, and most of us will think of her rubber boots and raincoats as well as her feminine shoes. But to this should also be added her two annual clothes collections and accessories. Below you will find the story behind the brand.
ESTABLISHMENT
The Danish company, Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek was established by Ilse Jacobsen in 1998 and is a personally owned company dedicated to design, manufacture and sale of shoes, clothes and accessories. It wasn´t in the cards that shoes were going to be Ilses´s bread-and-butter.
At university, she studied political science and national economy and after that she opened her own restaurant. However, it all began when Ilse took over an agency for shoes from a friend, who had lost interest. She decided to open her own shoe shop in Hornbaek and started designing her first shoe collection counting only ten styles. After many years of success with designingand selling shoes, Ilse decided to design her own women´s line.
Today Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek presents, not only two annual shoe collections, but also two annual clothes collections, which are supplemented with some beautiful accessories and basic all year round items.
BRAND
The Headquarter is beautifully located north of Copenhagen along one of Denmark´s most breathtaking white beaches. Living in rural surroundings is reflected in the brand, Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek that has a preference for natural beauty and natural materials, focusing on creativity, innovation and quality always with an eye for the current trends and development within fashion.
