BARBARA BUI FASHION HOUSE:
Her first show was in 1987. Praised by the press and buyers, she had to organize her business in order meet demand; the Barbara Bui fashion house was born. Over the seasons the collections have become increasingly wide-ranging, from tailored to loose; the DNA of the house has been enhanced by valuable features such as embroidery work and as always by the demand for quality and cut, the care taken over finishing touches and the sense of detail.
FIRST BOUTIQUES:
Barbara Bui was one of the first designers to open an eponymous boutique in 1987, in an era when this was still rare in the fashion world. “I always wanted to be close to the woman I was clothing, without necessarily passing through intermediary buyers, to retain a coherent discourse and complicity with her.” Over the years the Barbara Bui fashion house opened flagship stores on some of the most prestigious streets in the world: Avenue Montaigne and Rue Du Faubourg St Honoré in Paris, Soho in New York and Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles.
