CARVEN

Carmen de Tommaso founded her fashion house in PARIS in 1945 and named it Carven. She was the first to make clothes for petite women (like herself); a very Parisian and democratic view of fashion design. Her perfumes were born out of that same spirit: utilizing, for the first time, raw materials such as chypre for “Ma Griffe” and the vetiver root for her men’s eau de toilette.

In 2010, the new owners of the Carven brand name, a French independent company, have ended the Haute Couture collection so as to launch contemporary and affordable men and women’s ready-to-wear collections.

In 2015 Adrien Caillaudaud with his partner Alexis Martial present their debut Carven collection for Fall 2015.
Which consisted of mini skirts, white Organza, a gold amulet necklace—inspired by Olafur Eliasson's Weather Project at Tate Modern. Rubber-slung slingback clogs teamed with knit ankle socks and 1960's inspired Skiwear prevailed throughout the collection.
