Lavenham is an English manufacturer of superior quality country clothing and horse rugs. The brand was founded in 1969 and made the first nylon quilted horse rug, closely followed by matching jackets and waistcoats for the rider.
The name quickly spread and Lavenham established a reputation of quality and durability through its nylon quilted products.
Today, people are still charmed by the brand for pretty much the same reasons as 40 years ago. Keeping with the commitment to in-house manufacturing, Lavenham oversees each stage of production in their Sudbury premises, from cutting, quilting to the final inspection of goods. The best raw materials are sourced within the British Isles, whenever possible, right down to the interlining used. This stamp of British quality and the classically English design have made Lavenham a highly covetable brand.
AW12 Collection – A collection to inspire each wearer to shake the mud off their wellies, button up and brave the outdoors. Drawing inspiration from our surroundings in Suffolk, and those who live here, this collection should reflect Lavenham’s roots in equestrian wear. Ideas on shape and form were generated by traditional countryside dress throughout the Victorian period, along with Lavenham’s archive. Fabrics were chosen to draw out some of nature’s strongest tones, with flashes of bold colours enriching and bringing to life classic British and Shetland wools. Innovative quilting and mixes of cloth gives these classic Lavenham jackets a new edge.
