After fifteen years in shoe design, Aurélia Stouls had fallen in love with leather and nurtured it as an idea for the future. Her job as a shoe designer taught her about volume, precision, items pleasing to the touch, and accuracy down to the last millimetre.
Aurélia began to consider skin and clothing, the body and its movement. She decided to free leather from its confines by treating it as a second skin and imagining it as an obvious, basic garment: seamless and uncompromising.
In 2004, she established STOULS, a line of simple leather T-shirts, based on a precise concept: leather that is slipped on in one movement, worn close to the skin and machine-washable, just like denim.
The range is expanding. Her all-leather wardrobe succeeds in being chic and easy, as well as sleek and sexy.
Colour has become Aurélia's means of expression. Her ranges tell stories and set the tone with their harmonies. No less than twenty colours of leather each season express an attitude, a look and a certain energy.
