Since its launch in 2004, the French brand -actually the name of her creator - has entered the circle of fashionistas and quality shoes enthusiasts.
The first collections mostly consisted of ballerina shoes, including models Georges and Zoé considered to be essentials. Every pair has its own universe, most notably the star ballerina shoes of the winter 2005 which were knitted in wool and ornamented with a big pompon in fur.
Thanks to her feminine, comfortable and original creations, Maloles quickly becomes the queen of flat shoes. Her shoes are in the world capital's department stores and concept stores (Tokyo, Hong-Kong, Paris, London, Moscow, Milan, Madrid, New York, Los Angeles...). Audrey Tautou wore Maloles shoes to arrive at the 2006 Cannes Festival, Keira Knightley is a fan of the brand since wearing it at the 2007 Venice Festival, and Kirsten Dunst and Penelope Cruz now count among the devoted admirers of the brand.
But Maloles is not the kind of woman who rests on her laurels. Constantly driven by her creative and innovative spirit, she tackles every season like a new ready-to-wear collection. Thus, since 2005 she has decided to offer a wider choice for women by developing all kinds of shoes.
To achieve her ideas, she used exclusive and luxurious materials with special focus on sophisticated details. Contrast effects, prints, cutting, silkscreen printing... The quality of the finishing on the outside and on the inside of all pieces is the signature of Maloles. Nothing is scarified but yet the luxury always remains affordable.
Nowadays, the basic models at the bottom of the brand's success are revisited every season according to the themes and colours chosen by the designer. They are supplemented with ankle-boots, pumps, platform shoes, flat boots and sandals in the same spirit, and recently also with leather goods.
Indeed, Maloles has taken up a new challenge by developing a line of handbags and clutch bags, for parties or travel, in the same spirit of her collections. Made out of soft leather, the bags have colourful details and the shape is timeless. A certain detail, print or colour will refer to a specific model in the shoe collection. These pieces are for women who like discreet elegance, subtle stylishness and sensual femininity. According to Maloles, fashion should be playful.
A few seasons ago, she also designed in the same spirit a line for young children under 2, called Petite Maloles. From ballerina shoes to ankle-boots, all pieces exude style and quality, thus little girls can have the same style as their mothers. The collection's models are smaller versions of those offered to adults. Little girls will therefore be able to look as pretty as their Mum.
All these creative challenges have given Maloles the importance of a high-profile brand. However, there is no pretentiousness in the designer's approach: every new project sets out to give priority to the proximity with women, their comfort and overall appearance.
Sensuality, freshness and off-beat elegance are the keys to femininity according to Maloles.
