A tireless traveller, Serge Bensimon went from military surplus to fashion, from design and art to literature, with a centred vision: a certain idea of lifestyle where colour, elegance and the joy of living are intertwined ... always.
In the early '80s, he opened, with his brother Yves, a first boutique in the Marais, on the famous rue des Francs Bourgeois. Inspired by the world of travel, the brand becomes Bensimon collections around the world. Immediately, other shops emerged including Home Around the World. Home Around the world covers respective lines of ready-to-wear and decorative items. This gives a rise to a real lifestyle.
The Bensimon’s style, which is a sumptuous blend of genres and colours in a casual chic and feminine spirit, emphasizes colour and beautiful fabrics. Fashion is always declined with so much passion from the teenagers, our Tennis fans, through the online B.TEAM, a mixed cloakroom that revisits the classics of the house.
In thirty years, the lifestyle brand has made its international name a great reputation.
But Serge Bensimon never ceases to expand his world. Passionate about art and architecture, in 2009, he took over the Artazart’s library and set-up a new angle in design and graphics. Just after, he opened his art gallery, the Gallery S.Bensimon, which is a space of expression between contemporary art and design.
Much more than a fashion brand, Bensimon detains primarily an innate sense of aesthetics and taste of the basics.
