Common Projects is a collaboration between designers Flavio Girolami and Prathan Poopat. Inspired by the lines and shapes of everyday objects, they design their pieces with tailored approach, using the finest materials and techniques.
Poopat and Girolami started their New York-based sneaker collection in 2004. Combining the street sensibility of American sneaker culture with the hand-stitched quality of Italian construction, the brand proposes a hybrid of casual and polished styles adapted to today’s creative lifestyle. The brand’s look is as modern as its origins: the founders, respectively an art director and creative consultant, designed the original Achilles sneaker from two different continents. Branded only with a gold numeric stamp at each style’s heel displaying its style code, size, and color, Common Projects’ minimalist yet timeless men’s high tops, low tops, boots, slip-ons, and derbys are eclectically suited to formalwear and streetwear alike.
