Founded in 1997, ROBERTO DEL CARLO began as a small artisanal workshop in the Tuscan hills of Lucca.
Traditional production processes and fine materials combined with modern design gave life to a women’s footwear collection that captured the market’s attention right from its very debut.
Over the years, the company has kept in step with changes without ever straying from its codes, thus establishing a strong brand image that is today synonymous with authenticity.
The upper, which completely covers the heel using a technique akin to tailoring, is the company’s hallmark, which, combined with superior raw-cut hides in natural tones, conveys a strong, clear style message. Its customers are women who are looking for content rather than a designer label.
2007 saw the opening of a showroom and international sales centre in Milan. Launching a major reorganisation programme in 2011 under the guidance of CEO and promoter Luigi Pierro.
The first step was the creation of a new style office with young designers from different backgrounds and countries joining the company’s own master craftsmen and technicians. "Our signature style, revamped by these young designers, creates continuity with the past, yet projects us into the brand’s future" explains Luigi Pierro.
The on line store targeted towards the international market opened in 2013. 2014 saw the opening of the brand store in Via Borgospesso 25, Milan – a space dedicated to the sale of the collections but also open to contemporary art events and to the displaying of the Roberto Del Carlo Photo Contest projects.
