Thaddeus O'Neil is New York City-based fashion label of American Luxury Playwear that blends artisanal luxury with casual comfort. The Thaddeus O’Neil brand builds a unique appreciation for American fashion through the oceanic bohemian lens of surfing, which distinctly speaks to relaxed elegance and classic American cool.

Founder and Creative Director, Thaddeus O'Neil, designs with the abandon and rebellion customary of surf culture, a sort of PRE-punk credo, juxtaposed with a poetic, nomadic and romantic essence.

The line juxtaposes relaxed fits with bold prints, bright colors and rich textures, constructed of the highest quality materials such as fine cotton, cashmere, wool, silk and linen.

A PROVISION BIOGRAPHICAL INTERLUDE

Thaddeus O’Neil is a New York native, born and raised surfing on Eastern Long Island. He studied philosophy and geology, obtaining a Master’s degree in philosophy of art. He worked as a model, writer and photographer’s assistant to several acclaimed fashion photographers, including his mentor Bruce Weber.

In 2013, O'Neil launched his namesake menswear collection and debuted womenswear in 2015 at New York Fashion Week. He was most recently one of the top five menswear finalists for the 2015 U.S. International Woolmark Prize and part of the notable top ten finalists for the 2015 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund. He is currently part of the 2016-2018 class of the CFDA Fashion Incubator and the Design Entrepreneurs NYC class of 2016.

After spending several years on the move, Thaddeus settled back in New York, where he lives with his wife Pania Rose and son Cas. They have two dogs, Hemingway and Shirley, and a cat called Teddy Boy. Thaddeus’s main source of inspiration and creative release is still surfing off the beaches of Fire Island, NY and the surrounds.
