ABOUT
…Abandon Ship Apparel creates well-crafted, iconic clothing. Starting from humble beginnings, the brand was conceived in one of Glasgow’s many pubs by friends Richard Davies and Duncan Sweeny as a response to a lack of clean, striking t-shirt designs on the market.
Running the brand from the flat they shared it quickly picked up speed and emerged onto the UK scene.Within 3 years the brand grew rapidly and is now seen as one of the leading independent UK brands with a full range of cut and sew products available from essential products in clean cuts and minimal branding to all over printed 100% cotton t-shirts and so much more.
The brand currently has one flagship store located in Glasgow but reaches a worldwide audience through their webstore and wholesale customers.
Recently the Brand won “Scottish Retailer of the Year” at the Scottish Fashion Awards and “Scottish Online Retailer of the Year” at The Heralds Online Retail Awards.
Their collection is shown across the world at tradeshows in Berlin, Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Within the UK the brand is stocked in some of the biggest names on the high street and a plethora of independent stores across the country.
As creatives almost every design is created in house by their team but they have also had the pleasure of working with some of the most creative minds in the illustrative community including Mcbess, Long Fox, Tom Gilmour and Hydro 74 to create unique graphics.
Beyond graphics and prints they have also progressed the use of jersey and cotton beyond simply t-shirts and spent months refining shapes and cuts to create perfect silhouettes and redefine jersey within their market.
Their commitment and dedication to the customer is apparent in the extensive use of Social Media; while regular appearances at music and lifestyle events give customers the opportunity to chat to the people behind the brand, buy exclusive designs and be a part of Abandon Ship Culture.
Past events include Groezrock Festival, Rock Am Ring, Be Street Weeknd, Download Festival, New York Comic Con, Vans Warped Tour, London Tattoo Convention and several pop up store experiences.
They have also shot numerous look books in some of the most aspirational places in the world including; Iceland, Barcelona, Thailand and New York.
With the opening of their Glasgow Flagship Store and the release of their strongest and most diverse collection to date Abandon Ship Apparel is on the cusp of dominating the UK market and pushing rapidly into new markets.
