With an Economics College Degree, Despina Filios manufactures bikinis in Rio de Janeiro since 1987.

For many years her main focus was mass production for large Brazilian department store chains.

In 2002, the entrepreneur, now also graduated from Fashion Design School decides to launch in the glamourous bikini world which begins her new international career selling to world known brands.

Her creations has coveted in the front pages of Fashion magazines as well as famous bikini issues such as Sports Illustrated, the dreamy Victoria’s Secret Catalogs and in the windows of the most recognized boutiques and department stores in the world.

In 2007, the designer launched Despi, her own label with the focus on offering the world the most desirable  and beautiful bathing suits in the world. Her beach fashion designs are a must around the globe!
