Fortschritt-Berlin – We make the patterns.
Mankind became human, once he started to make everyday products more beautiful by using patterns.
Fortschritt-Berlin, that’s fashion designer Christiane Grafe and graphic designer Robert Löffler. Our trademark is our strong design patterns.
We take pride in the rigorous selection of our design patterns. Different times and ages and cultures inspire us from which on we adapt, change and modernise or we create new designs, which integrate harmoniously into the traditional design lines.
We also get inspiration from old Maori patterns, structural elements from both Orient and Occident, from Japanese Kimonos as well as from previous periods such as Bauhaus or constructivism.
Only such patterns are included into our collection that are strong enough to fill a larger space without the aid of additional patterns. Thus we create strong designs for grown-ups with no frills.
We translate classics into contemporary modern design and thereby create timeless pieces.
We make no compromise when choosing our materials and use only high quality Merino wool and Silk/Bamboo yarns that has been OekoTex100 Standard certified.
The same high standard is used when choosing our manufacturers, which have to deliver high quality products while being based in Germany. Since our first Collection 2008 we have been collaborating successfully with the knitting mill Strickerei Peterseim from Muehlhausen/Thuringia (Germany).
