We started our business with the store on a modest scale in 1973 in an old, condemned house in Alingsås, a great atmosphere that unfortunately became the excavator's prey.
The business was moved in 1980 to a neighboring property, including this house wonderful, where the old one was untouched. In March 2007, sold the store in Alingsås which today lives on in the style and atmosphere, but now run by the couple Eva-Lis and Christer Andersson. Today the shop in Gothenburg is run by our daughter, and in June 2008 we added online sales.
In addition to the store, we also conducted a wholesale business of selling a large part of store assortment to other stores in most of the north. 1987 we specialized in self-designed home textiles in the wholesale side, which was sold in the mid 90's and today operates under the name Nyblom & Kollén.
In recent years the interest in resuming the wholesale business has grown in step with our children who increasingly found interest. In mid 2010 we decided to take the bull by the horns and get started. Following an intense autumn and negotiations across the globe, we managed to proudly present a booth at the Formex Fair in January which became the starting point for the current Strömshaga A. From that day the business has grown more and more. We are driven by the vision to bring a unique feel to every home with inspiration taken from days gone by. Classic Swedish, industrial and retro design are in focus at the moment.
