Every piece of jewelry is a new adventure. The designers, Jan Kerkstra and Marion Pannekoek go searching for surprising forms and materials which, in combination, radiate a timeless and powerful simplicity. They make each piece by hand, with love and skill.
The designers of The Jewelry Story take their inspiration from architecture, design, nature and their international travels. When working on a commission it is also the personality of the client that inspires. A statement that the Jewelry Story designers can completely identify with is that about the Shakers:
‘Shaker designs have a purity and simplicity that is sharply contemporary. Yet their unique appeal goes far beyond style.’
The jewelry enthusiasts
The international circle of clients of The Jewelry Story consists of men and women who love authentic and original jewelry. Most of the designs by Kerkstra and Pannekoek are individually made: they are one of a kind. Each piece of jewelry, therefore, is as unique as the person wearing it. Work by Kerkstra and Pannekoek has already won a variety of awards and has been placed in the collection of – among others – the Fries Museum and the Downey Museum of Art in Downey California.
