THE STORY
My fascination with jewelry started when, years ago, I was working at Sotheby’s London. The discovery of the work by Castellani and Giuliano triggered my interest in antique jewelry. In 1998 I made a life changing trip to India. I was mesmerized by the traditional Kundan jewelry, by the skills of the goldsmiths and above all, by the abundance of gemstones.
Spontanuously I started to design my first jewelry pieces which were made of 22K gold and coloured gemstones. Fascinated by the beauty and the mystery of precious stones, I obtained a degree in gemology at the Hoge Raad van Diamant in Antwerp.
In 2013, my decision was made. I wanted to create a collection in vermeil and natural gemstones which could be more widespreadely shared and would be presented in carefully selected shops.
THE INSPIRATION
TIKLI is all about the beauty of nature, passion for life and dreams of faraway places and mysterious encounters.
THE ARTWORK
The natural stones are cut specifically for each design. The pieces are dipped in 18K gold, all handmade.
I hope my collection will surprise and charm you, adding tiny dots of beauty here and there, as butterflies do…..
