Collections

For AW16 Dr. Martens brings you a collection focussed around print, texture and materials, that sits alongside reimagined originals. Offering seasonally relevant silhouettes that champion individuality and comfort without compromise.

Originally born out of industrial manufacture for the working man in 1960 with the introduction of the then revolutionary AirWair bouncing sole technology. Dr. Martens are bringing this technology up to date and launching a new concept. Paying homage to its workwear heritage and combining athletic performance with a fashion look creating a new face for Dr. Martens.

Use of print and texture has become fundamental to any Dr. Martens collection with this seasons key themes stemming from the aesthetics of marble, embossed leather, refined styles with pebble textures and casual models in felt.

Running concurrently is the theme of winterisation that runs across Men’s, Women’s and Kids, including soft shearling lining, with innovation such as reflective mono black materials that change to metallic silver and glow-in-the-dark materials being used across iconic styles and newly introduced models alike.

Another key influence for AW16 is Goth – one of the most enduring and international of all the youth subcultures who adopted Dr. Martens from the early 80’s. Dr. Martens have taken this influence and run it across a number of key designs, using black as a base with intricate designs and complex lace patterning sitting alongside staples including the classic Creeper. A wide range of product, from the simple and current triple black classics to the extravagant 32-Eye Daria boot.

High quality detailing and hardware resulting in a collection that is individual in style yet united in spirit.
